1. ¾¢Õ¿£Ú (The Sacred Ashes)


Ţ⾢ ¨ºÅò¾¢ø Á¢¸×õ Ó츢ÂÁ¡ÉÐ. ¾¢Õ¿£Ú  Å¡ú¨¸Â¢ý ¯ñ¨Á¨Â «¾¡ÅÐ Å¡ú쨸 ¿¢¨ÄÂ¡É ´ýÈøÄ ±ýÀ¨¾ì ÌÈ¢ôÀÐ. À¢È츢ýà «¨ÉÅÕõ ´Õ ¿¡û ¿¢îºÂõ ­ÈôÀ÷ ±ýÈ ¸Õò¨¾ì ¸¡ðθ¢ÈÐ.
The sacred ashes is an important symbol in Saivism. It denotes the reality of death and through that the reality of Siva. We must be humble and utter the Namasivaya mantra each time we wear it. We must also remember that nothing is permanent and because of that attach ourselves too strongly to anything in the world.

2. Å¢ÇìÌ (The Light)

Å¢ÇìÌ ­øÄÈ (ÌÎõÀ) Å¡ú쨸¢ý  ¾òÐÅò¨¾ ¯½÷òÐõ  ÌÈ¢. ¿øÄ ÌÎõÀ Å¡ú쨸 ¦¾öÅ£¸ò ¾ý¨Á ¿¢¨ÈóÐ ­ÕìÌõ. «Æ¸¡É ÌÎõÀõ «¨ÁòÐ Å¡Øõ §À¡Ð ¾¡ý ¿¡õ ¯ñ¨Á¡¸ ­¨ÈŨÉô ÒâóÐ ¦¸¡ûÇ ÓÊÔõ. ­¨ÈÅý «õ¨Á¡¸×õ «ôÀÉ¡¸×õ ­ÕóÐ ±øÄ¡ ¬ýÁ¡ì¸¨ÇÔõ ¸¡ôÀ¡üÚ¸¢ýÈ¡÷.
This symbol discloses that family life is important for progressing in religious life. It is only through leading family life that we can understand God as Ammaiyappar- Father-Mother complex.

3.ÝÄ¡Ô¾õ (The Trident)

ÝÄ¡Ô¾õ ºì¾¢¨Âì ÌÈ¢ôÀÐ. ºì¾¢ ¯¼Ä¢ø ­øÄ¡Å¢ð¼¡ø ¿õÁø ­Âí¸ÓÊ¡Ð. ±ó¾ ¸¡Ã¢Âò¨¾Ôõ ¦ºö ÓÊ¡Ð. ­ó¾ ºì¾¢Â¡É¨¾ º¢Å¦ÀÕÁ¡ý ¬ðº¢ ¦ºö¸¢È¡÷.
The trident symbolises Energy or Power without which we cannot do anything and the fact that ultimately it is controled by Siva.

4.Á¢ø (The Peacock)


Á¢ø ÓÕ¸ô¦ÀÕÁ¡É¢ý  Å¡¸Éõ. Á¢ø º£Åý¸û «Æ¸¢Â ºó§¾¡„Á¡ý ­É¢¨ÁÂ¡É Å¡ú쨸 Å¡Æ ¯¾×õ Áó¾¢Ã ¦º¡åÀõ.
The peacock is the vehicle of Thiru Murukan. It enables us to lead a life that's beautiful and noble.

5.¿ó¾¢ (The Nandhi)

¿ó¾¢ º¢Å¦ÀÕÁ¡É¢ý Å¡¸Éõ. ­Å÷ ±øÄ¡ ¯Â¢Ã¢Éí¸Ùõ À¢ÈôÀ¾üÌõ ­ÈôÀ¾üÌõ ¸¡Ã½Á¡¸ ­ÕôÀÅ÷. ¿ó¾¢ º£Åý¸ÙìÌ ºì¾¢¨Âò ¾Õõ Áó¾¢Ã ÅÊÅõ.
The Nandhi is the vehicle of Siva himself who controls death and rebirth. Nandhi provides the power of regeneration and hence the ability to conquer the death bringing processes.

Konraiveenthan is a book written by Auvaiyaar. She has also written a few  other books  such as Kondrai Venthan, Muuthurai, Nalvazi. She is the most popular female poet. Athiyamaan, the King  has great appreciation for her poems. One day, one of Athiyamaan's friend gave 'Nelli' fruit to him. It is a special and powerful fruit where whoever eat the particular fruit   will have a healthy and long life. Athiyaman gave that fruit to Auvaiyaar in appreciation for her intelligence. According to the myth, Auvaiyar eat that fruit and lived longer and served the Tamil community.

KonRai Venthan is a small, easy to understand book  that explains moral values.
